The Homeless Coalition of San Benito County is a collaborative effort of local citizens, faith based organizations and city and county governments to provide temporary shelter and social services to the county's homeless population. The short term goal is to have a winter shelter that will provide a warm safe place to sleep, showers, hot meals, and help with employment, mental health and substance abuse counseling. Our long term goal is to establish a permanent location, closer to, or within city limits. In order to achieve this goal, the Coalition is investigating a number of funding sources that may be leveraged to provide a solution, but there is a need to establish a growing financial reserve to meet this goal. Your continued support to the Homeless Coalition of San Benito County will get us closer to this goal.
